Ten anonymous online “rooms” for global HR leaders and industry experts.

– No personal brand
– No chasing engagement
– No long conversation threads
– One centrally-curated daily prompt
– One considered response per member

Simple. Deliberate. Anonymous.

Sometimes you just need to be able to say exactly what you think, and hear the quietly brilliant ideas of others. Where you feel seen (while you are invisible). The HR Ghost Lounge is a home for unspoken thoughts, unfinished thinking, and unanswered questions.

Contributing takes 2-3 minutes a day. One prompt. One response. After that, there is no conversation, no thread of responses demanding your attention. Share your ideas, then read the ideas of others at your leisure.

Leave your personal brand at the door. Come as you are.

Who Can Become an HR Ghost?

HR Ghost Lounge membership is by invitation only (from Paul Drury). No application route, no referrals. Members don’t find the Ghost Lounge. The Ghost Lounge finds them.

The HR Ghost Lounge rooms are a mix of global corporate people leaders (i.e. CHROs, HRDs), corporate functional leaders (i.e. heads of TA/L&D, CAIOs), and external experts (i.e. HR Consultant / AI expert / wellbeing practitioner).

People leader & functional leader HR Ghosts are anonymous. Free membership.

Expert HR Ghosts are fractional HRDs (anonymous), generalist HR Consultants (anonymous), and room experts (visible – posting as their brand). Expert HR Ghost membership fee: £10/month – join here.

HR Ghost Lounge Rooms

HR Ghosts can join as many of the ten rooms as they wish – most people leaders join several simultaneously. The rooms are 90-95% anonymous, with a maximum of 1,000 members, but kept deliberately small at launch so the culture can settle. Certain popular rooms will later split into country variants (US, UK, Canada, Australia, etc) and second rooms may open (i.e. Wellbeing II) when they reach capacity.

Visible Expert HR Ghosts can join multiple rooms but are limited at launch to 20-25 per specialism (i.e. AI or OD consultants) – enough to anchor the room without dominating it.

Phase II (September 2026)

Phase III (late 2026)

The following five Phase III rooms will open in January 2027: Fractional, L&D, Coaching, HR Tech, Neurodiversity. Other rooms will follow later in 2027.

How the Ghost Lounge Works

Each room operates on the same core principles:

– Hosted on the Signal app (mobile & desktop)
– End-to-end encryption
– Open Monday-Friday (0600-2200 GMT)
– One centrally-curated prompt (shared at 0600 GMT)
– Max one response per member, per day
– No engagement, comments, or vanity metrics
– Active moderation by curator Paul Drury

The Ghost Lounge is designed for silence. Members agree to invisibility beyond the rooms – no social signals, no inference of affiliation. Paul Drury does not post on LinkedIn. Anonymity and discretion are not features of the Ghost Lounge. They are its foundation.

Who Curates the Ghost Lounge?

The HR Ghost Lounge is curated and moderated by Paul Drury – the only person who knows the identity behind every GhostTag. He spent more than a decade as an HR Ghostwriter, handling what senior leaders shared in confidence, and disappearing into their thinking rather than expressing his own. That discipline is what the Ghost Lounge requires of its curator, at scale, every day. He safeguards confidentiality and ensures adherence to the Ghost Lounge Code.

Paul’s 41,000+ LinkedIn connections are the network through which members are quietly identified and invited. He does not post. He does not share opinions in the rooms. The Ghost Lounge is not his platform. It is his gift to all those people leaders who leave so much unsaid online.
